rē̆trō-versus or -sum ( -vorsus, and sync. rē̆trōrsus, -sum, also rē̆trōsus, Tert. Apol. 19), a, um, adj. [verto], turned back or backwards (adj. very rare, but freq. as adv.; v. infra).
